Irony of the Day

As we exited the theater in which we watched Borat (this blog entry is by no way an endorsement), the cinema employee behind us, broom in hand, reported to her boss, "Borat's clean."

It was a wholly unique movie experience. Though I laughed harder than I can remember laughing at any other movie, I hope that this remains a wholly unique movie experience.

la. I love it in sketch doses, but the movie format is almost too much to take. The real question: would you have laughed if you were in the theater alone?

Almost certainly I would have. Lisa said her laughs were out of pure nervousness and discomfort. I agreed she can pick our next 2 movies.

There is really no choice but to laugh. Tell her to save one of her picks for the movie starring Bruno, Cohen's Austrian gay character.

i keep wanting to see it, but everyone tells me not too. maybe i just won't. I do have a recommendation though...yesterday i saw "For Your Consideration," the latest Christopher Guest movie (Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind) and it was hysterical. i highly recommend it. it even has a little something for the Jews...that's right, Purim. Lisa should make that one of her next picks.
